Guest Speaker Peter Gutierrez, Vice President of Circulation Operations, Bay Area News Group

pguiterezPeter serves as the Vice President of Circulation Operations for the Bay Area News Group currently overseeing the distribution of 11 daily newspapers, 30 weekly editions and niche publications across the entire Bay Area.

He began his career as a youth carrier on the east side of San Jose where he grew up since birth. A graduate of James Lick High School and San Jose State University, Peter’s experience includes senior executive roles in all phases of circulation and distribution with a variety of major newspaper publishers in diverse markets – the San Jose Mercury, Orange County Register, Stockton Record, Medford Mail Tribune, Oakland Tribune, San Antonio Express-News and San Diego Union Tribune.

Peter is also a graduate of the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.


Guest Presentation City of San Jose Environmental Services – The Clean Streets Pilot Project

Please join us as Jennifer Seguin and Brad Hunt, of the City of San José’s Environmental Services Department, discuss the Story Road Clean Streets Pilot Project. The Clean Streets Pilot Project seeks to achieve a litter-free standard by partnering with Business Association members, providing litter prevention services, and conducting public outreach to encourage litter prevention with customers and pedestrians within public spaces.

Our Directory is updated with your information that is included on our application.  Please complete our application and bring to any meeting. New Members are encouraged to participate in our goals set to improve the business district.  Your membership provides your business a voice to the city leaders of your neighborhood business district.  Here is more info on our mission, and goals for the association.

Increase visibility of SRBA and businesses as an anchor for San Jose and the region. Attract technology and entertainment companies to increase value of Latino community in San Jose and the region.

  • Develop a destination attraction for Story Road and San Jose.
  • Place a Welcome/Bienvenidos to Story Road entrance sign between Knox and King and near Capital Expwy/story road/white road.
  • Provide Internet Access – Free Wi-Fi for customers on Story Road. Portal to Story Road Online.
  • Develop 2 Events that celebrate business owners, customers and neighbors and reflects the community.
  • Continue to Host quarterly workshops to improve business owner knowledge.
    • Financing, sales, marketing, social networking, Internet access.
  • Office Space for SRBA members to utilize for business meetings on Story Road.
  • PBID Development

Your membership will continue to provide you access to important issues that affect the business owners.  Continue to market your business through the Story Road online directory. Participate in cooperative marketing and advertising with our partners.

We hope that you decide to continue with Story Road Business Association by extending your membership to February 2017. Your participation as an active member is important as a business owner on Story Road. Your participation will assist us in achieving the goals to place our business district as a main attraction for San Jose.
